Dr. Liang Jiejunyi is an Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), and a recipient of the Hubei Provincial Major Talent Project. He received his undergraduate degree from HUST and his PhD from the University of Technology Sydney. His main research areas include human-machine hybrid intelligent systems, brain-computer interfaces, and the nervous system and brain function cognition. He has led projects funded by the National Key Research and Development Program of China, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) (General Program and Youth Program), the Hubei Provincial Natural Science Foundation (General Program), the Wuhan Municipal Key Research and Development Program, the National Key Laboratory of Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment and Technology (Independent Project), the National Key Laboratory of Robotics Technology and Systems (Open Fund), and the HUST STAR Independent Innovation Research Fund. He has also participated in the NSFC National Major Scientific Instrument Development Project. He has published over 30 first/corresponding SCI papers, including in Nature sub-journals and Cell sub-journals. Representative journals include Nature Communications (Nature), iScience (Cell), IEEE Transactions on Robotics, Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing, Mechanism and Machine Theory, and Expert Systems with Applications. He holds over 10 invention patents. Research achievements have won numerous awards, including the "Challenge Cup" National Hengxing Award (First Prize), the "Youth Innovation" National Gold Award (First Prize), and the World Robot Competition National First Prize. He was recognized as an Outstanding Instructor in the National College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and three of his graduate students received the "National Scholarship." He serves as a guest editor for SCI journals and has consecutively chaired a session at the International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Their Applications (ICIRA).
