On May 16 and 17, invited by Prof. Rong Chen, Vice Dean of MSE, Prof. Han-Bo-Ram Lee from Incheon National University, South Korea, visited HUST-MSE. This visit served as a platform for extensive academic interactions, facilitating in-depth exchanges among relevant research collectives, academic staff, and student cohorts.

On the afternoon of May 16, Prof. Lee delivered an academic report titled "The Industrial Ecosystem of Si Chips and Atomic Layer Deposition as a Key Nanofabrication Technology" during the Young STAR Academic Forum of Mechanical Engineering. In this report, he expounded upon the pivotal applications of state-of-the-art technologies, including area-selective deposition and atomic layer etching, in surmounting the formidable bottlenecks encountered in silicon chip fabrication processes.

As an associate editor of academic journals, Prof. Lee also gave a special report titled "Publishing in Chemistry of Materials - How Editors & Reviewers Evaluate Your Work", focusing on atomic layer deposition technology and scientific paper writing skills. He engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions with teachers and students on academic publishing standards and research communication.

In addition, Prof. Rong Chen accompanied Prof. Lee to visit the Micro-Nano Materials Design and Manufacturing Research Centre, where the team showcased their self-developed atomic layer deposition equipment. Prof.

The visit of Prof. Han-Bo-Ram Lee provided an excellent opportunity for the faculty and students of MSE to communicate with experts from abroad, and laid a solid foundation for further in-depth cooperative research between the two sides in materials science, nanomanufacturing and other fields.
