This summer, I had the incredible opportunity to attend a Summer School in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST).
The program was an exciting mix of mechatronics, automation processes, and hands-on workshops. We got the chance to visit some of Wuhan’s leading enterprises in the field, which really brought the lectures to life. Every afternoon, we’d dive into fascinating details about Chinese culture and history, learning through fun workshops that made each day feel unique.

But my experience at HUST was far beyond just lectures and practical training. Living on campus felt like being part of a vibrant community. In between classes, my friends and I would wander around the beautiful campus, soaking up the greenery. With so many canteens scattered around, each offering a huge variety of Chinese dishes, every meal was a culinary adventure — I loved trying something new every day.
Exploring Wuhan itself was just as memorable. The city is alive with history, culture, and, of course, mouthwatering street food. We strolled down the banks of the Yangtze River, admired thecity’s museums, and climbed the iconic Yellow Crane Tower. Standing up there, watching the light show and seeing the city sparkle at night felt magical.

I came for AI and robotics, but I left with a heart full of new friendships, unforgettable memories, and a deeper connection to Chinese culture!
