My time in China has been nothing short of amazing! From meeting people from all over the world to diving deep into Chinese culture, every moment was a learning experience. I was blown away by how technologically advanced the country is—everything from high-speed trains to cashless payments made daily life so efficient. And the best part? I felt incredibly safe everywhere I went, thanks to the welcoming and kind locals.
The food alone was worth the trip— so diverse and nothing like back home! I discovered new favorites like hot and dry noodles, soup dumplings (xiaolongbao), and even chicken feet (yes, they’re delicious!). Lesson learned: always try new things—you might be surprised!
A weekend trip to Chongqing was unforgettable; walking the thrilling skywalk and exploring the ancient town felt like stepping into another world. And Wuhan? Absolutely incredible! The massive malls, endless activities, and even an unexpected alpaca sighting (not something you’d see in the UK!) made it so special.
