On September 25, the unveiling ceremony of the 3DEXPERIENCE Edu Center of Excellence co-founded by Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) and Dassault Systèmes was held at HUST-MSE. Prof. Gao Liang, Vice President of HUST, and Dr. Nicolas Jeannée, 3DEXPERIENCE Edu Senior Sales Director of Dassault Systèmes, jointly unveiled the plaque for the Center. Dr. Chen Jie, Director of the International Affairs Office, Dr. Zhang Fen, Chairman of HUST-MSE, Ms. Joanne Li, China 3DEXPERIENCE Edu Sales Director of Dassault Systèmes, Mr. Wen Hongyu, China CATIA Industry Process Consultant Director, Dassault Systèmes, and other representatives attended the event. The event was hosted by Prof. Xu Jianfeng, Vice Dean of HUST-MSE.
At the cooperative exchange meeting, Prof. Gao Liang delivered a welcome speech on behalf of HUST. He stated that HUST has always taken serving the national strategic needs as its mission, and has accumulated profound disciplinary foundations and talent advantages in fields such as advanced manufacturing and mechanical engineering. As a leading enterprise in the global industrial software sector, Dassault Systèmes has achieved remarkable results in promoting digital transformation and empowering educational innovation. The collaboration between HUST and Dassault Systèmes reflects not only a trend of complementary advantages and synergistic development between universities and enterprises, but also a practical response to the national innovation-driven development strategy, promoting the deep integration of education, talent development, and industrial growth, thus cultivating outstanding professionals who are well-versed in both theory and practice to support the high-quality development of manufacturing industry.
Dr. Nicolas Jeannée expressed gratitude for the warm reception from HUST. He noted that HUST has made outstanding achievements and demonstrated strong strength in academics and talent cultivation. The signing of the MOU and the joint unveiling of the Center also mark an important milestone for Dassault Systèmes. In the future, Dassault Systèmes will conduct in-depth exploration with HUST in more areas, including joint curriculum development, collaborative research projects, and international academic exchanges.
During the exchange meeting, witnessed by Prof. Gao Liang and Dr. Nicolas Jeannée, Dr. Zhang Fen and Ms. Joanne Li jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation between HUST and Dassault Systèmes, which clarifies the specific cooperation directions of the two parties in talent cultivation, technical exchanges, and other aspects.
After the event, Dr. Nicolas Jeannée gave a special report to teachers and students of HUST-MSE. He shared Dassault Systèmes’ industrial software technology roadmap, the new-generation "3D UNIV+RSES" platform integrated with generative artificial intelligence technology, as well as application cases in various engineering fields and university innovative practical education. Dr. Zhang Fen presented a commemorative plaque of the report.
The Dassault Systèmes delegation also visited the National Demonstration Center for Mechanical Experiment Teaching and the Engineering Practice and Innovation Center, gaining an on-site understanding of HUST’s and MSE’s achievements in practical teaching and research platform construction.
In the future, the two parties will take the Center as a platform to continuously deepen cooperation in curriculum development, practical teaching, scientific research innovation, and other areas. They will jointly cultivate more high-quality talents with a global perspective and innovative capabilities, contributing to promoting the digital transformation of China’s manufacturing industry and realizing high-quality development.
