On November 22, the launch ceremony of the second phase of the "Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing International Talent Cultivation Program" was held in Conference Room A304, East Building of the Advanced Manufacturing Building at our school. Attendees included Wu Zufeng, Global Cooperation Manager of RWTH Aachen University International Academy; German language lecturers Zhang Xiaoyan and Hu Qingyun from the School of Foreign Languages of our university; Zhang Fen, Chair of the our school, Zhang Shaohao, Deputy Chair of our shool, Cui Yan, Director of Sino-German Exchange Affairs, faculty representative Zeng Xiangrui, and international cultivation coordinator Zeng Zheng. The ceremony was presided over by Cui Yan.

The Sino-German Intelligent Manufacturing International Talent Cultivation Program is jointly conducted by our school and RWTH Aachen University. It aims to cultivate compound talents in the field of intelligent manufacturing with international perspectives, solid professional capabilities, and cross-cultural communication skills. Through a model combining "core course training + summer professional practice + language enhancement," the program connects with the high-quality educational resources of RWTH Aachen University, offering students further education pathways such as "3+1" undergraduate exchange and "3+1+2" combined bachelor’s and master’s programs.
At the launch ceremony, Zhang Fen stated that the commencement of the second phase marks a new stage in the international talent cultivation efforts of our school. She urged students to cherish the opportunity and enhance themselves with an open mindset. Wu Zufeng highly praised the outcomes of the first phase and expressed anticipation for deeper collaboration with our university to jointly advance talent cultivation in intelligent manufacturing. Student representative Wang Zhuoyu, a 2025 undergraduate student from our school, delivered a speech, expressing his commitment to engaging in studies with full enthusiasm and growing into a compound talent with international vision and innovative capabilities.

Following the ceremony, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as "innovations in talent cultivation models and sharing of teaching resources." They reached consensus on future cooperation directions, including jointly developing core courses in intelligent manufacturing and promoting faculty exchanges, injecting new momentum into subsequent collaboration. Jiang Jing, Deputy Director of the International Exchange Office of our university, participated in the discussions.

In the afternoon, Wu Zufeng provided a detailed introduction to RWTH Aachen University’s core course offerings, international campus living environment, and support systems for international students during a program information session. He also engaged in thorough exchanges with students on topics such as major selection and overseas study planning, further igniting their anticipation for studying abroad.
Additionally, Wu Zufeng, Global Cooperation Manager of RWTH Aachen University International Academy, and Ma Songyun, Researcher at the Institute of General Mechanics in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of RWTH Aachen University, visited the Junshan Campus of our university on the morning of November 23. They expressed their expectation to further deepen talent cultivation and scientific research collaboration with Huazhong University of Science and Technology, leveraging the internationalized educational conditions of the Junshan Campus.
