On the morning of December 12, a cooperation and exchange meeting between our school and the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering of Nanyang Technological University was successfully held in Conference Room B702, East Building of the Advanced Manufacturing Building. Attendees included Zhang Fen, Chair of our school; Yang Huiyi, Dean of the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Nanyang Technological University; and Academician Chen Yiming, Fellow of the Singapore Academy of Engineering, Lifetime Professor at Nanyang Technological University, and Advisory Professor of our university. The meeting was chaired by Xu Jianfeng, Vice Dean of our school.

At the exchange meeting, Zhang Fen delivered a welcome speech on behalf of school, introducing its development history, disciplinary features, and international achievements. Yang Huiyi, Dean of the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, then shared an overview of her school’s teaching, research, and international cooperation efforts, along with its vision for collaboration. Zhao Huan, a professor at the National Key Laboratory of Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment and Technology and Director of the "Robotics Engineering" program at our school, provided a detailed introduction to the development and future plans of the "Robotics Engineering" program. Ling Ling, an associate professor from the Department of Mechanical Design and Automotive Engineering, systematically elaborated on the curriculum, practical platforms, and talent cultivation model in the field of "Intelligent Manufacturing." Both sides engaged in lively discussions on potential educational collaborations, such as joint course development, student exchanges, and cooperative training programs.

During the interactive session, participating faculty members engaged in practical discussions on topics such as course credit recognition, faculty exchanges, research collaboration, and short-term student visits under the theme of "Educational Cooperation Models," laying a solid foundation for further substantive cooperation between the two institutions. At the end of the meeting, both sides exchanged commemorative gifts and took a group photo, marking a new phase of exchange and cooperation in the field of mechanical engineering between the two universities.

Additionally, the delegation from Nanyang Technological University visited the National Mechanical Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, the Engineering Practice and Innovation Center of our university, and the National Innovation Center for Digital Design and Manufacturing, gaining firsthand insight into the achievements of the university and school in practical teaching and research platform development. Two experts from the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering also delivered two insightful academic presentations for faculty and students of our school, titled "3D Printing for Tissue Engineering and Bioelectronics" and "Building Physical Artificial Intelligence."

This exchange activity not only enhanced mutual understanding between the two universities but also paved the way for future in-depth cooperation in fields such as mechanical engineering, robotics, and intelligent manufacturing. Both sides expressed their commitment to maintaining communication and actively promoting the implementation of specific collaborative projects to jointly contribute to the cultivation of high-end engineering talent and technological innovation.
