Joining the AI Robot International Summer School at HUST was one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had. The program was a great mix of technical learning, hands-on activities, and cultural exploration. We learned about many fascinating topics like swarm intelligence, robot structure design, and autonomous mobile robots. What stood out to me the most was how everything we learned in class actually connected to real-life applications.

We didn’t just stay in the classroom. We visited companies like WHIIID (Wuhan Institute of Industrial Innovation and Development) and Wuhan Huaweike Intelligent Technology, which showed us how AI and robotics are really being used in places like healthcare and factories. The cultural side of the program was just as exciting. I joined workshops like Communicative Chinese and Food & Travel, and walking through the night market gave me a real taste of the local life. I started to really appreciate not just the food and language, but how kind and welcoming everyone was.

Some of my favorite moments were exploring Wuhan with friends—visiting the Yellow Crane Tower, relaxing at Donghu Lake, and strolling down Jianghan Road, which I found out is the biggest pedestrian street in China.

I also got to ride in a self-driving car, which our professor had talked about in class. That moment made everything click—it was so cool to actually experience what we’d been learning.

But more than anything, it was the people I met and the new ways of thinking I was exposed to that made this experience so special. Every day brought something new—whether it was a fun challenge, an interesting lesson, or just sharing laughs with new friends. I’m heading home with not just new knowledge, but also fresh ideas and dreams for the future.
