My journey began with a mix of excitement and nervousness as I stepped onto the beautiful campus for the first time. The warm welcome from both staff and peers immediately made me feel part of the HUST community.

I spent the first couple of days exploring the massive city of Wuhan, where ancient history meets futuristic skylines. This included the yellow crane tower, East Lake, and the Wuhan water park. These experiences gave me a deeper appreciation for the city's culture and history.

In the last few weeks, I have had the opportunity to immerse myself in a new cultural environment through the summer program's activities. Through lectures and workshops, I've learned about traditional Chinese tea ceremonies and attempted fan Painting.

One of my favourite aspects of life here has been discovering Wuhan's diverse snacks. From the famous hot dry noodles to various street food offerings, trying new meals has become one of my favourite activities.

As part of our summer program, we had the valuable opportunity to visit various leading Chinese companies, including United Imaging. These visits linked the academic lectures with the practical applications and gave me useful insights into future career options.

Looking back, I am very grateful for how much I've grown since arriving. I look forward to continuing to learn and make the most of my time at HUST.
