Fraunhofer IOSB Visits MSE to Seek a New Chapter of Cooperation

On July 9th, Fraunhofer IOSB visited MSE for academic exchanges and cooperation discussions. The delegation included Prof. Thomas Rauschenbach, Member of the Board of Directors of Fraunhofer Institute for Optronics, System Technologies and Image Exploitation (IOSB) and Director of Fraunhofer IOSB-AST; Dr. Divas Karimanzira, Researcher at IOSB-AST; and Mr. Mu Hong, Chief Representative of the Beijing Representative Office of Fraunhofer Institute for Production and Information Technologies. The visit aimed to conduct in-depth exchanges with MSE on issues such as institutional cooperation and talent cultivation.

During the visit, Prof. Rong Chen, Vice Dean of MSE, and Assoc. Prof. Yan Cui, Director of Sino-German Exchange Affairs at MSE, held talks with the delegation. They also accompanied the guests on a tour of the National Demonstration Center for Mechanical Experimental Teaching, providing detailed introductions to the center’s comprehensive measurement and control platform, student innovation projects, and laboratory management. Both parties exchanged views on core topics including scientific research cooperation models and joint student training mechanisms, laying a consensus-based foundation for future collaboration. At the Engineering Practice and Innovation Center, Mr. Chen Wen’e accompanied the visit and demonstrated the operation mode and application scenarios of the intelligent manufacturing training system. Prof. Thomas Rauschenbach and other delegation members had in-depth exchanges with the hosting teachers on equipment parameters and teaching application scenarios, and spoke highly of the practical teaching system.

During the visit, both parties conducted positive discussions on future cooperation directions. Preliminary intentions for collaboration in joint research, talent exchange, and academic resource sharing were reached, laying the groundwork for further refining cooperation details and promoting collaborative development in related fields.
