From coding robots to painting traditional fans, my month at HUST's AI Robot Summer School redefined what immersive learning means! I am really very grateful for being selected for this program. This program gave me an opportunity that not only expanded my technical skills but also gifted me with unexpected friendships.
As a Chinese, I thought I knew Chinese culture until HUST surprised me! The fan painting workshop revealed artistic traditions I'd never seen, while calligraphy class showed me how fluid and expressive Chinese characters can be. The careful grouping by language proficiency ensured everyone could fully participate.
Beyond the classrooms, we have ample of time after lessons which allows us to travel around Wuhan to take a good look at the city to travel to places like 昙华林 and 长江大桥which are very beautiful and ate many good food!
During the weekends, we have free time which allows us to plan trips to travel outside of Wuhan to Yichang which allows us to see many awesome sceneries such as the 三峡大坝!
Most valuable were the connections made - whether troubleshooting code with peers or exploring night markets with new friends. This experience has left me saying "我心所向，唯有华科" - my heart now yearns for HUST!
